This is the image for the news article titled MJHS: Girls District Track Meet ResultsThe Marshall Junior High girls track teams finished fourth and fifth overall, respectively, in the seventh and eighth-grade divisions at the 2017 District 16-5A Junior High Track and Field Meet held at Bobcat Stadium on Thursday, April 6, in Hallsville.

The seventh-grade Lady Mavs finished fourth in the team standings, while the eighth-grade team finished fifth overall.

In the eighth-grade, Marshall’s Tinaya King finished as the district champion in the Long Jump, with a leap of 16 feet, 2 ½ inches.

In the seventh-grade, the Lady Mavs’ 4x200 Meter Relay team of Kyra Taylor, Zandashia Williams, Kiasi Singleton and Mahagoni Wilson won the district title with a time of 1:54.59.
